At just 3 years and 10 months old, Muhammad Afaq is fighting to stay alive. After the failure of a bone marrow transplant meant to treat his condition of Thalassemia major, Afaq is now suffering from thrombocytopenia. Thankfully, Afaq's platelets have somewhat stabilized after the introduction of the medicine Eltrombopag. But he is still a long way off from a full recovery. His family, having already undergone immense trauma, are currently suffering from massive financial burden and are in need of additional funds, approximately Rs. 67,500/month, to help continue administering the medicine for next 3 months.
